| However,
what makes this release so special is that unlike other Bloodstone
albums, 'THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION' on ITP RECORDS is the only place
where you can find Bloodstone's previously unreleased versions of
: Tower of Power's " You're Still A Young Man", Linda Jone's "Hypnotized"
and The Fuzz's "I Love You For All Seasons". Bloodstone's performances
are amazing and their interpretations of these songs will blow your
mind!!
Also, this release contains exclusive Bonus tracks including what
we feel are some of Bloodstone's best original songs ever including
"I'LL Be Holding On" and the heartfelt, "Show The World".
As
you may know, this Kansas City, Missouri quintet originally formed
in high school in 1962 and debuted under the name of "The Sinceres".
Their
1973 debut album and hit single, "Natural High" (written by Charles
McCormick) was recorded at England's Chipping Norton studios and
hit #10 on the pop charts in the U.S. as well as #40 on the pop
charts in the U.K. Other Bloodstone hits to follow were "Never Let
You Go" in 1973 (written by Harry Williams) "Outside Woman" in 1974
(written by Harry Williams), and "We Go A Long Way Back" in 1982
(written by Charles Love), to name a few. What makes this release
so special is that it includes not only Bloodstone's hits but also
gives the listener a chance to hear Bloodstone's unique interpretations
of such great songs as Tower of Power's "You're Still a Young Man",
Linda Jones's "Hypnotized", Patty Drew's "Tell Him" (appropriately
renamed "Tell Her"!) and The Fuzz's "I Love You For All Seasons".
In addition, this album features never before released Bloodstone
original songs such as "I'll be Holding On" (a song I think "Boyz
To Men" could make a number one hit in todays market), "It Should
Have Been Me" which was a radio hit in 1996, and the very heartfelt
"Show The World" a song about bringing people together to "make
this world a better place". This is truely a great album and showcases
how diverse and talented Bloodstone is as songwriters and as multi-talented
vocalists. This album is without a doubt the quintessential and
ULTIMATE COLLECTION of Bloodstone music!
