Under the direction of it's two principal partners,Alan Beck, President and JD Dancygier, Vice-President, PCG has achieved success in a relatively short period of time. The Beverly Hills, CA based PCG is the largest promoter of R&B Classic Soul Concerts in the U.S.. Although successful in it's endeavors, PCG's begginning had humble roots. It's founder, Beck, a connoisseur of R&B classic soul music, was miffed at why he heard the music of legendary groups and individual artists on the radio, but was no longer able to see them perform live. Realizing that many of these great artists were being totally ignored by R&B radio stations, record companies and concert promoters, Beck began to contact these groups and individual artists in order to showcase them in concert. He was amazed that hundreds of R&B groups were still around; many of which contained the original members or the major core. In many cases the groups still maintained their original lead vocalists. Beck found that the artists he contacted were elated that he was proposing to promote them and their classic songs. Encouraged by his research, Beck formed The Pacific Concert Group. In the beginning, the company worked with only a few artists, mostly booking them at small clubs or other suited venues on the West Coast. But as the demand to see and hear these and other classic soul artists grew, so did PCG. The company began booking larger venues, which included arenas and concert halls with seating capacities ranging from 5,000 to 15,000. The company also expanded out of the West Coast and into other regional cities such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Phoenix, Greensboro, etc.. As of the year 2000, PCG has successfully promoted over 500 shows nationally and is planning to expand into Europe, Asia and the United Kingdom. So when ever you hear of a great R&B Classic Soul Concert there is a good chance that you will be wathcing a great show produced and promoted by The Pacific Concert Group. The trademark names of The Pacific Concert Group are: "The Super Slow Jam Concert", "The R&B Supershow", "The Super Love Jam Concert", "The Mega Old School Jam," and "The Classic Soul Oldies Concert" "The Valentines Super Love Jam Concert", "The Super Oldies Concert" and "The Super Old School Concert" |
